Crossfire on vista

ATI at the Leipzig Gaming Convention marks another first for the PC industry. On display is the worlds first public showing of multi GPU rendering on Windows Vista. Crossfire on Windows Vista shows that ATI's driver devlopement for Vista is progressing along nicely and we anticipate it will be available through the Vista Catalyst drivers when Microsoft releases Vista.

We asked ATI for comment and Terry Makedon - Manager of Software Marketing at ATI had this to tell us:

"We have been working with Microsoft on Crossfire support in Vista for a while now. Today we are pleased to be the first GPU company in the world to show off two graphic cards (in this case RADEON X1900 Crossfire) rendering 3dMark on Windows Vista. We anticipate Crossfire gaming on Vista to be a solid choice. To coincide with this historic moment we have also released on our website a Vista readiness and upgrade advisor tool that anyone can run.
