Hmm..
How will the Club 3D X1950 Pro AGP 256MB perform compared to the other Pro AGP's? It seems to be a bit cheaper than the others and I can go pick one up today if I want, just want to check how well it performes compared to for example the Sapphire version. |

one thing i would check for, aside from product reliabilty/performance, etc., before buying any product is to look into the company you are purchasing the product from. especially in terms of RMA service. how fast does the company state that an RMA will take to process. PowerColor has a 2 to 3 week processing time. that still does not include shipping to and from PowerColor's facility!

All of the 256mb cards that are clocked relatively the same will perform relatively the same. The only thing I would worry about with that MFG is like CD's said. I haven't seen any specific problems stemming from there cards.

That's a nice looking card. Never looked at the Club3D X1950 Pro before. They appear to be using the same cooling solution as the Powercolor Card - Arctic Accelero x2. It's a very good cooler, only drawback is it exhausts the hot air into case. Shouldn't be a problem if you have normal airflow. Their RMA policy is below. It looks like they are steering you to the store you bought it from. Good Luck.
All technical problems First point of contact for RMA and technical issues is your store. The store can help you much faster and have trained employees who can help you with their knowledge. They can also assist you more efficiently for testing your product, as no image on screen is not always the result of a not working VGA card. Especially on completely new systems, build by yourself, it is recommended to test the VGA card in a working system to exclude the VGA card for further trouble shooting. Club 3D technical support is meant for distributors but you can always ask us for advise when you cannot come to a solution with your Club 3D supplier. On this website is a support form which needs to be filled in completely in order to process your request. Requests send in directly, without form, are not processed. Allow 7-days for reply on requests send in. |

that sounds similar for PowerColor's RMA process....except it's 2 to 3 weeks processing time upon receipt of product.

Well, when it comes to RMA there's no problem. The swedish laws are quite specifik. It's the store I bought it in that has the responsibility as a first instance. Considering how the laws are I'm not worried about that part.
Ok, so it seems like a decent card. Considering that it's about 20% cheaper than the Sapphire version it should be a good choise then! |

yea, same here in the US. but stores do that for you up until a certain point. some do it for 30 days, others for 90, and some for upto a year. it all depends on their policy. after that period of time, you gotta go directly to the manufacturer.

True.. they can try to delay and deny and so on... but if you're persistent they have no choise. The downside is that it might take some time. However, the stores I shop at don't, they have a reputation to keep and they don't dare mess around. The positive side of living in the capital, the chepest stores are here so I can get stuff at once, no mail-order.
