Which is better?
Hey guys, I won the X1300 from the ATI contest this week and was wondering if it would performa alot better than my 9600XT? I know it is a better card and has newer technologies like HDR, SM3.0 and VIVO and HDTV out and 256MB Ram. I am more into movies and such but I do play the odd game so does it perform better than my 9600XT?

Most probably, it would perform better, what type of card is it? AGP or PCIe? Either way it should still perform better (but obviously better if PCIe).

AFAIK, it's PCI-E I will be using it on a new mobo. It' seems reasonable as it can play all the new games but not with mcuh eye candy..though I think it's better than what I have by quite a bit..

Its a more powerful card period, doing a quick Google then looking at benchmarks at higher resolutions (1280x1024) it outpaces a 9600XT... but at lower resolutions the CPU is the limit.
So in short your new system will perform better than the old one ![]() Check out www.tomshardware.com The VGA charts should yield some good idea of where the card will be in the grand scheme |
