X1650XT or X1950PRO

Anybody got any thoughts to which card would be better? I am looking for a fairly inexpensive way to upgrade my system and wasn't sure which was the better deal? Also do they make the X1950XTX for AGP?

Another quick question. Heres how I understand the specs.

X1650XT
Interface - 128bit
Pixel Pipes - 24
Vertex - 8

X1950Pro
Interface - 256bit
Pixel Pipes - 36
Vertex - 8

Are those numbers more important or the core clock speed? How do I translate those numbers into performance. Thanks for the help.

not quite right with your numbers.

the X1950Pro has 12 pixel Pipes and 36 pixel shader processors. The X1950Pro is the faster AGP card around. I don't know much about the X1650XT cause I don't follow the low/mid range cards much, but someone here will tell you more or read a review or 2 about it.

the X1950PRO is the way to go, theres also going to be an X1950XT for agp no XTX tho, the 1650 is sorta junk since it only has a 128 bit memory interface, and the pro has 256, there doesnt seem to be a way to convert numbers to real time performance, only to bench them.... thats y we got review sites like this to go for.

the X1950PRO is the MUCH better deal here

I wouldn't give the x1650 any further consideration. If you can get a X1950, go for it.

Agreed... the X1950 will blow the X1650 out of the water.
