Hmm...We'll i cant speak to the Kyro because i've never had one. My hercules board based on the Geforce III chipset has been rock solid.. even under pretty much continual overclock.
all the reviews i've seen on the 3D Prophet 9700 Pro have also been extremely favourable http://www.guru3d.com/review/hercules/3dprophet9700/ for eg.

I wouldn't buy a Hercules card simply because they generally are a good bit more expensive than other 3rd party cards with the same chip

Let's not forget that Hercules uses heatsinks which usually add to the price. The difference is not that great anyways. Very nice cards, but very hard to find

For them, they should even be much cheaper (perhaps .10€/each). The difference is not that great anyways. At least over here, Hercules cards are at least 50€ (US$55) more expensive than other 3rd party cards ![]() Very nice cards, but very hard to find Not at all here - Hercules is the only graphics card company that practically every major warehouse over here has in store. Sadly, the prices for them are even much more astronomical than normally already: last weekend, I finally found a *real* Radeon 9500 Pro by Hercules (yes, a *real* Radeon 9500 Pro which is still absolutely impossible to get everywhere else!) in a "Saturn" store (big German warehouse chain). I nearly swooned when I saw the price of it: 329.99€ (that's US$361.50! You already get a Radeon 9700 Pro for that price!) But hey, that's the same store that sells a normal Radeon 8500 (64MB, w/o any extras!) from Hercules for a whopping 249.99€! (US$273.86)

Anyone who owned a GeForce2 MX card from tehm would agree that they suck too. Mostly because the chipset was very unstable and add to that they closed down the forums because people were complaining too much. Then they switched to ATi so when the forums did come back up... Are they up even now?
Just crappy tech support in general. |

Now thats funny, here in Singapore, its the other brands that are expensive, especially those built by ATI. The Herc cards are the cheaper ones
