I have an OCsystem OEM 9700 pro that came with 8.004 bios it overclockes to 385/351 with a heat pipe and ram sinks. i am useing Omega's newest drivers, viewsonic pf790.
My desktop res is 1024x768x72. I see diagonal lines in hitman2 and FS2002,Swat3. It dose it ether OC'ed or not. Games i like to run at 1280x1024, that is where i see lines. if i go to 1600x1200 whitch is max for my monitor i dont see them only 1280x1024 in game. Againe i dont see lins on desktop only in game. my games run pretty good with 4x AA and 2x AF alittle lag here and there but mostly well. I will say i also have a gainward ti4400 and the games look better under the ti4400 with out AA on or any other changes. But i have to turn on atleast 2xAA and 2XAF to get the same detail. My 4400 is OC'ed to 295x650. The 9700 pro runs faster but games dont look as good if you dont have any filtering on. What do you guys thinck about the scrolling diagnal lines. I have been useing rivatuner 12.2 to OC. My card was not underclocked it showed 324x310. I don't have any problems with the system or card just lines. 385x351 is as high as i can go. any higher is see some spoting or snow flakes in 3d2001se and some spoting and mild artifacting in the troll and nature test. I never had this problem till i installed the ati card, that is the only thing that has canged. Asus AN78X DX 2700xp OEM ATI 9700 pro corsair pc3200LLPT max timeings 465 enermax apc 650 ups Asus 52x Viewsonic PF790 Loads of case and cpu cooling heat is not a problem |

to fix this problem use the vga 2 dvi adapter if you got it
this fixed my scrolling lines people tend to think its a power supply interfeering with the ati power supply cable LOL but i fixed it by pluging my vga monitor cable into the vga adapter thn into the dvi port on your card.. hope this helps. it could also be a resolution problem at that res... try the adapter it may fix it

Ya know that was the only thing i haven't tried yet. It worked no more diagonal lines at 1280x1024 in games with a higher refresh rate greater than 60mhz.
