Yet another new 9700 Pro

Thanks again ATI via Hercules.

They have already RMA'd my 9700Pro and gave me a nice new one after some probs with the first. The new one arrives and works a dream, except with my mobo, a GA-8INXP. All works perfertly on AGP 4X but on 8X its rubbish. Just to clarify a few things i emailed Hercules and they said they would RMA the card again to give me a newer revision of the card.

I held out as long as i could but they did insist. So i gave in and sent back the card. I suppose i need the 1.3 revision of the card to work with my mobo using 8X. But again, excellent service..

You have me scared now. I just bought the new Gigabyte GA-8INXP MB and was leaning toward the 9700 Pro but after reading your post I'm a bit concerned. The 8INXP is supposed to support 8x AGP, what kind of problems were you having?
