New Monitor :), new problems -.-

Hey all, just got an Acer 19" widescreen for my b-day. I have a Sapphire X850XT card and i'm using the dvi-i output, the max rez on this monitor is 1440x900, and max refresh rate is 75, but everytime i put it on the max resolution my entire screen turns into one giant jigsaw puzzle that I have no hope of solving, is my card just not powerful enough or is there another problem here? And for those wondering, I have the latest omega drivers installed and the latest drivers for all of my other hardware.

I had the same problem w/ those exact two components last weekend.

Turned out to be the refrsh rate, it was set to 75, backed it off to 60 and that fixed it.
Open up CCC and check it out

yeah, I didn't notice your post until I put this one up, I set the rez to max and set the refresh rate to 70 and now everything is working fine.

Actually it turns out even though i set it for 70 it pushed it down to 60 and only gave me the options for 60 or 75 so I risked 75 again, and it is actually working fine....go figure
