Tairing Grafix its pissing me off.

im useing RefreshForce

and no matter what i do there is still tairing shit going on like the grafix are ripping apart when you move one way faster than another way if you get what i mean !.

seriously isnt there a god dam proper working refresh FIX for the omega`s or officials.

i mean less than 60hz Is pathetic even 60hz is pathetic dam this sucks lol

well rant overwith other than that im happy hehe

The best way to eliminate ripping and tearing in textures is to enable V-sync. That will fix that problem, but at the expense of lowered framerates. It's basically a trade-off option.

When using RefreshForce, it is VERY important to have your correct monitor driver installed, don't use the generic "plug-and-play" driver because it can report false refresh rates for your monitor. Some monitors will say that they are plug-and-play, but actually use a custom INF, like my KDS 19" does.

Check out your device manager to see what it's using and if it's set to Plug-and-Play, try to change it to one that corresponds to YOUR monitor. If you don't know EXACTLY what kind of monitor it is, look on the back of the monitor and there should be a model number, the proper INF will include that number.

To choose a custom INF, go to the device manager, find the monitor listing, select update driver, then say that you want to select the new driver from a list. Search for your monitor's brand name and then the model number. If it's not listed there, try to find one on the net somewhere.

Other things to try:
If you are running a VIA chipset motherboard, update the 4in1's.
Make sure you motherboard's BIOS is up to date.
Disable all video caches and shadow RAM options within BIOS, newer graphics cards don't need them and may cause silly problems.

....and of course the obligatory "update video drivers to the latest version"

But I'm sure you're already hip to that.

The lowest refresh rate on most monitors is 60Hz. With VSync enable, this gives you a maximum framerate of 60 fps. You say "lowered framerates" as if to indicate that you're used to >60 fps in many if not all your games.

I would LOVE to have a consistant 60 fps framerate in my games! I'm highly skeptical that you can actually tell a difference between 60 fps and anything higher anyway.

Try pluging in your dvi adapter. I did this and my refresh prob disapeard. to change my refresh rate i had to go to displays in the ati control panel and where it shows max res and refresh i chose a higher refresh rate like 72 or 75 as long as my desk top and games are not above my max res for my moniter. Try it ya never know
