Proper Aperture Size? Sapphire x1950 Pro 512
Right now I have it set to 256MB, should I lower it to 128?
Is the higher better, or setting it lower optimal? I have 1GB RDRAM PC1066. Thanks for any help.

Personally, I find either 128 or 256 works best for me with 2 GB of Dual Channel system RAM installed. I just don't think there's any cut n dried perfect option on this one. |

![]() Secondly on my system if i set it to anything less than 256 (which is the max) my graphic card will run at 320x240 @ 8 colours This is because I have an x-fi sound card so the more pci devices you have connected the higher your agp aperture should be. |

One thing, however, you do NOT want to do is to put a demanding PCI card (e.g. Audio) in a slot that shares the same IRQ as the video card. Otherwise, I've never had any problems selecting all my resolutions and colors no matter how many PCI cards are there. Strange |
