Hi guys.
I got an email yesterday that my rma on my x1950 was successful & my new card should be with me within the week. Bearing in mind that i know next to nothing about psu's, one thing i do know is that mine does not have a PCI-e cable, so i have to use the molex to pcie cable that comes in the box. This cable has 1 female molex plug & 1 male pcie, but i notice one some websites you can buy a cable that can power it using 2 female molex plugs like this. Would it be safe to buy one of those, as it didnt come with the card & would it be beneficial at all to my graphics card? & most importantly could it possibly damage the card at all? Thanks. P.S This is spec of the psu, incase it matters. |

I think that you don't need that 2 molex to one PCI-E cable. So you are fine with the one that comes with the card.

But if you do need it buy it. Typically I would say you are better off upgrading your PSU.
