ati x850 xt Question

yea so i bought this vid card on ebay, hasn't come in the mail yet....but the seller told me he only has the card and no accessories or anything. will i have to buy an adapter to hook up to my powersupply to my vid card, or do i just put my vid card on my pci-e slot and im all set to go. sorry if im question is stupid but i tried searching on yahoo and got no answers.

It all depends on which PSU you have and what kind of power connection/s it provides for. Some of the X8xx series cards just used a regular 4-pin Molex like what plugs into an IDE Harddrive.

Others may use the newer PCI-e power connector. It's a smaller 6-pin connector.

Would have been nice to have gotten more specifications about the card before you agreed to buy it.
