Getting the best performance on this old ATI RADEON 9200...
Hello... I have a really old and curdy PC using an ATI RADEON 9200 AGP card... Since this card is really old, I don't play any of those super graphical games. But I do play PC games a lot on this thing...
What I wanna do is try to maximize graphic performance for this card because for some games I play, it has some lagging issues when large amount of special effects are on screen. I'm already using Omega Drivers v3.8.252 (I can't use anything higher then this version because ATI doesn't suppose 9200 cards anymore) |

One of the first things I'd do is at least double the amount of RAM. 512 is choking the system whenever a lot of activity is going on.
Beyond that, yes, I agree you've got a very, very old system. ![]() Make sure you keep the HDD Defragged, no non-essential Start Up Programs running, maybe increase the PageFile. Check out the NGO Optimized Drivers for ATI cards. Don't expect to use the newer ones. Look around for older sets that still support your card: NGOHQ.com Good luck! |
