ATI 1950 GT problems in UT2004

2 days ago I purchased the above card and I have no problems with any other games I play -Fifa08, PES2008, Call of Duty, Bioshock etc. I can run UT 2004 in single player, but when I connect online and the servers start coming down, then I get a blue screen crash and I can make out it says Ati before the system reboots. I do have the latest drivers installed.
My system is Athlon 64 processor with 1gig memory running windows XP 64 on the K8N Platinum Sli board. I had Nvidia cards before and made sure I uninstalled the drivers.
I tried it on a Windows XP drive I have and it all runs OK. But in Xp64 or Vista64 I have these problems.
It seems my Lan drivers are conflicting with the Ati, or is it something else? Can anyone suggest where I should start please?

Its only in XP64. I tried it on my Windows XP partition with Unreal Tournament and everything is fine.

Maybe somebody can help me onetime. I have narrowed it down to playing UT2004 online. As soon is I start to get the servers I crash to blue screenery.

if it's only with ut2k4 and winXP x64 environment, then that would indicate that there is some kind of issue with the game and possibly the OS and not necessarily the video card or it's drivers since it works fine in winXP sp2 (32bit).

what does the BSOD say when it occurs?

to be able to read what the BSOD says, change the following setting by doing these steps:

right click "my computer" > properties > advanced > select "settings" under startup and recovery > uncheck the box "automatically restart" listed under system failure

by doing that your machine will not restart and you will be able to take note of what the BSOD says.

I wondered if I had some sort of corruption so I backed up my drive then did a clean XP install (I later tried it with Visa 64 too) and installed UT2004 and there was no problem! I dont want to go through the pallava of days re-installing the entire system so am wondering would anyone have any idea what it could be that is corrupting my ATI config when I use UT200I wondered if I had some sort of corruption so I backed up my drive then did a clean XP install (I later tried it with Visa 64 too) and installed UT2004 and there was no problem!
