Need help with understanding Crossfire setups

I recently upgraded from my old p4 2ghz to a completely new tower and hardware setup... a playing field that I'm not wholly familiar with. My new tower consists of the following:

Core 2 Duo E6420 2.13Ghz 1066mhz
Intel DX38BT Mobo
600 watt X-Connect Ultra PS
2 GB Dual Channel 1333mhz OCZ Platinum memory
2 160GB SATA II drives
1 IDE DVD burner
1 SATA DVD player
2 HIS Radeon X1650 Pro IceQ 512mb PCI-e

Everything booted up and installed fine with Windows XP Professional SP2 with 1 exception:

I cannot seem to get the video cards set up in CrossFire mode. I double checked the card and mobo specs... both are supposed to be crossfire ready and the video cards did not come with a Y dongle or a bridge connect. I tried using manufacturer drivers, ATI drivers and even Omega's drivers. Manufacturer and ATI drivers did not even show the settings to enable CrossFire while Omega's did but when I try to enable it with Omega's it gives me an error saying "Invalid Value Name!CFEnable" I have a sneaking suspicion that the cards are the ones that requires the Y-dongle to enable the CrossFire configuration. If this is the case... where am I to acquire the Y-dongle to link the cards. Any and all help is much appreciated!
