ATI Radeon HD2600 Pro 512mb Locking Up

I have a Visiontek ATI Radeon HD2600 Pro 512mb and I am having a major problem in a game that I play. In counter-strike I have never had this problem but I compete on a high level in this game and can't be getting these lock up issues in game. When I am playing and sometimes when I move my keyboard the game locks up I had this problem on my 9800 Pro as well and changing the drivers fixed it so I have tried 7.11-8.2 Catalyst off of the visiontek website and nothing works. The drivers I even got with the card don't even fix the issue. I have tried a different mouse as well as keyboard so I know it is neither of those issues. I am wondering what steps I should take to resolve this. I also noticed when I uninstall / reinstall with the ATI Uninstaller I believe it is still keepnig traces of drivers active because my CCC panel settings do not go back to default on reinstall. So that may be an issue as well. Any help would be appreciated and thanks for your time and consideration.
