reyleejo is on a distinguished road

??? When computer is rebooted.. a code appears

Rebooting my compter.. a code appears.. you enter throught that it coutinues to boot up and then when it gets to the login screen.. the mouse and keyboard are frozen. I think the code has something to do with my Graphics card. I looked up this part number.. it is for my Radeon Graphics card... now what? I have no clue...

The code is

RV351 P/N 113-A03523-103 BIOS

If I go into Safemode during the boot up and select last good configuration all is well

Does anyone know what this means? And what to do?

Thanks,

Reyleejo

Hi there and welcome to DriverHeaven!

That code is telling me what Radeon chip your card have (RV351) and the part number and card's BIOS version.

What version of ATI drivers you are using. Since it sounds to me that the problem you are having might be driver related.

the code that appears is absalutely normal.

every video card initilizes at bootup.. and the first thing to be displayed is the chip info and bios revision and a few other details sometimes..... followed by the motherboard bios.

Quite often though, this doesn't occur, because it happens to so fast or so instant.

However your freezing problems are likely driver related... i'd suggest trying to remove them via safe mode..
