HIS Radeon HD 2600 Pro AGP

Hello!
I was recently using an old nVidia card, had been for a very long time, but then the fan died, so I got myself a HIS Radeon HD 2600 Pro AGP card. (I had quite a very limited amount of money )

First time I tried to install the drivers, I got all that problem about the downloaded ones not recognizing the AGP card and whatnot, so I just installed the CD drivers and everything worked perfectly, no problems whatsoever! My brother also bought the same card, and his is currently running with no problems, though I think he might have had to do something to get it working initially.

Now, last week my computer was annoying me so much with the amount of crap that was on it I wiped it and reinstalled windows (I'd done this a few times earlier, small hard drive gets full easily heh), and went through all the drivers I normally install when I reinstall XP (Sound, Video, Direct X, SP3 etc). Slight problem now is that Direct3D (I think) isn't working. Any game that uses 3D models gets all, and I mean ALL the textures screwed and muddled up.

Only game I've thus got to work is good ol' Diablo II! And an interesting thing I found which is why I think D3D is screwed is I did a video test on D2, and it came up with two display modes; (some 2d name), and Direct3D. I chose the 3D one and behold, D2 was all screwed up like the rest of my games (Oblivion, WoW, Warcraft III).
Also, when I go to the dxdiag, and test Direct3D, The first test works fine, but the second and third both get the textures muddled up on the spinning cube...

So anyway, I'm completely stumped, I have absolutely no idea how to get this stupid card working....
I'm not very good with techincal things to do with computers, but could anybody try give me some advice, other than buy a complete new computer?

Hmm, I just uninstalled all the ATI drivers, and reinstalled them and hey, it works!

Could be because I think directX was installed after the ATI drivers, yet this time it was first. I dunno, that's the only difference I can think of :P
