crossfire problem ( HD 3870 )

Yo
1. i am noob

2. There will be some bad english in this topic

how ever ... i am using a pair of 3870īs and have done that for the last summer and it has been working almost fine but the problem is not that i re-formated the pc i lost the crossfire option in ccc and people say that u have to go in to bios and look for chipset features but i cant find it ...
i am running a xps 630 with bios : 1.08 . Please i would be very very greateful if some one could help out

Reformatting won't change the options in your BIOS. Are you using Catalyst 8.9?

If I am not mistaken, (and I often am at my advanced age) I just read something that said that you need to install the drivers with just one card in the system, then install the 2nd card before you will see the crossfire option. I don't know if that needs to be done for an upgrade in drivers. I think it's just for the initial install, or like you are doing, a reformat and re-install of the OS

I 'could' be wrong, but it wouldn't take that much time to give it a try.

i tryed to install the drivers with just 1 card , then i installed the second card with no succes

yes i got 2 bridges but i cant see 2 cards in displays manager tho
