Hi there, first time poster... short time reader-of-posts.
I recently installed a community-modded version of DXT for XP, it works beautifully on the three comps I put it on. It lets me run Assassin's Creed in DXT mode and has given me a performance boost in DX9, I gained 350 marks in 3DMark 03 when I benchmarked after installing it. So I'd like to recommend it for everyone running XP wanting to play Crisis, Mass Effect, etc. Here's the link. I hope this doesn't cause anyone trouble and I have a looming feeling that someone will post a reply explaining why this isn't a good idea, but it has worked nicely for me. Much love, Rando |

Re: DirectX 10 on XP
welcome to DH Rando!
![]() lol and welcome to these forums where all lovers of computers come to stagnate and shoot the breeze... since DX10 is supposedly implemented into the core of windows vista and is supposedly impossible to fully implement on XP theres a whole lot of controversy over these patches.... but as long as it helps increase the IQ of a game and get any sort of improvement, thats something good.. really, whether its true DX10 or not isnt as important as whether the game can be played closer to the real deal or not.....
