Buying new Video Card....have a question...

Hi All,

I have a ATI FireGL v5600 PCI-E video card in my machine currently (HP XW4600) and i'm going to swap it out.

Question i have is, what Radeon Video card comes close performance wise to the FireGL but in the Readon form?

I don't want to spend a mass fortune, but i want a card that is around the same performance like my FireGL, only i need the Radeon card so i can play games.

Thanks!

Re: Buying new Video Card....have a question...

Hmm, that card seems to be a workstation version of the HD2xxx series, so probably isn't terribly hot for gaming nowadays.

Depending on your budget, I would say a HD4850, 4870, or a Nvidia GTX-260 would be your best bets.

Yeah depending on your budget I would definitely pick up a 4850 I have been VERY pleased with mine. I have the HIS HQ Turbo version which provides an awesome cooler that really keeps the card happy.
