I bought my new ATi 3650 AGP i have removed my old one and inserted my new one and after presing the power buton it started to loead i waited till the windows loading will appear and went to the other room and when i got back i suddenly saw a spark coming out from the back of computer and it switched itself off. After that i took out the video card and it seems to bi fine but something is wrong with my Power supply because the computer wont start and i know why because i can see the thing that prevents the short cirquit is black. Well i just want to know maybe some of you knows why is this might happen and any solutions because i do want to use my PC as soon as possible.

Re: I have problem with my new agp 3650 video card
From the sounds of things, you definatel need a new power supply.
Just 'cross your fingers' and hope that when your old one failed that it didn't take out your MB and/or video card as well. Just because you can't SEE any damage doesn't mean that there wasn't any. when you go to get the new PSU, PLEASE, don't get a cheap one. You want a HIGH QUALITY power supply so you don't "see sparks' like you did with your old one. Sappire recommends a PSU with 30A on the +12v line. The Corsair CX400 would probably (depending on the rest of your system) do a very good job for you. If you think that 400W is not quite enough, then the 450VX would work as well. It would help to know what the rest of your system specs are.
