Crossfire Bridge

I have a problem.

The Problem is that the Crossfire Bridge that came with my graphics card doesnt fit the way the Pci-express x16 2.0 are placed on my mobo, there are 2 slots between the pci-slot instead of the 1 slot intended for my crossfire bridge.

The Question is can i acquire a nother bridge else where that would work with the graphics cards and the mobo?

Hope i can get some help on this problem. Thx.

Re: Crossfire Bridge

yep but they are not as easy to find as the standard length, if you know anyone that bought a motherboard that has 3 or 4 PCI-e slots one would normally come with the board

Re: Crossfire Bridge

quite often the motherboard that has a wider spacing like that comes with the crossfire or SLI bridge connectors because it's "non standard" i've not personally seen a motherboard that didn't come with such a thing due to that.

But yes they are obtainable, and obviously would likely vary from one place to another.... Best place to start is your local retailer that isn't a big box store..... (a place that actually makes machines as quite often they'll yoink the parts that aren't used to keep on hand for other purposes)

Or online...

Re: Crossfire BridgeBridges

I have an MSI 790FX-GD70 and it came with 3 long bridge strips. I wish they could just put the dumb slots in a more logical location. Try contacting your Mobo manufacturer or checking on Ebay for a longer one.

Re: Crossfire Bridge

You can buy a long Crossfire bridge from the Asus store if one was not included with your motherboard.
