Help! No hardware acceleration of video with Ati HD2400

I've tried every media player available (I think) that supports video acceleration from Ati, including Windows Media Player, MPC-HC and a few others.

I've updated to the latest official driver, and ticked off support of hw accelleration for Windows Media Player, to no avail. The CPU load doesn't change a single percent.

So I've got no clue on how to get this to work. ANy tips?

The system: P4 3.0 GHz, Asus P4C800-E Deluxe (AGP), Ati HD2400.

im not sure if that GPU supports video acceleration...... its pretty old... you generally need to go with a 3000 series or higher

Thanks, I'll try that. It was claimed by seller to have hw. acceleration, so I'll give them hell if it hasn't

Re: Help! No hardware acceleration of video with Ati HD2400

It seems right now you don't have a good driver. Download your driver here and try again. Catalyst AGP Hotfix - Radeon HD 3000 and Radeon HD 2000 Series AGP products

dont' worry if this is your video card you will have DXVA for sure!

What exactly "is" the problem you are having?? BTW just because CPU load won't show doesn't mean it's not actually working. get a job moron..
