Re: ATI still unable to get 1080p HDMI/VGA right...
CCC doesn't allow me to select 1080p as a present..it's simply not available.
I have to completely avoid the CCC and other such configurations and manually FORCE the option via the List modes option. If i change the resolution after setting this option, i lose the resolution and have to manually force it again. The irritating issues is the fact that nothing reads the EDID information, far as the computer is concerned, the monitor is a Non PnP Generic Monitor that doesn't support a damn thing. Where as the previous or some other samsung TVs show up as a PnP Generic Monitor (and quite often it'll actually know what model it is) So while part of the problem is the fact that zero information about the TV's info is making it to the computer as to what the tv supports, that's relatively irrelivant as the computer has locked out almost every necessary resolution. However what is of interest is that 1360x768 is a resolution listed which isn't at all common. This would suggest that the computer DOES know that it's a hdtv of sorts.. the CCC needs to be FIXED

Re: ATI still unable to get 1080p HDMI/VGA right...
Heh, maybe I've not noticed the same problems as you because I actually REQUIRE 1360x768 lol.
I have noticed however, that the new CCC coupled with Windows 7 x64 no longer recognised my TV either, whereas on VISTA x64 it did. Have you tried creating a custom inf file for your TV using PowerStrip? It's easy to do and you can manually set your supported resolutions and other "stuff". I originally installed it to see if I could get that blasted "maintain aspect ratio" scaling option un-greyed in CAT 9.11... At least my TV is once again reported as "SAMSUNG" in Windows and the max supported resolution is correct ![]() Just a thought. cause_of_chaos
