Problems with Hercules 9500pro

Hi,

I recently purchased a Hercules 9500 pro (blue PCB) in Germany second hand.
I've got a really strange problem with it though. I can only get the card to work without problems if I set the AGP aperature size to 8 megabytes.

If I set it higher, I cannot install the drivers. Upon restarting after installing the catalysts I get an error message "application failed to load correctly". It says that for every program I try to start.
I also get a lot of curruption on POST if I have the aperature size higher than 8MB.

I was thinking it may be the BIOS but I'm not sure.

What are your system specifications apart from the graphics card?

At the moment I'm running the card in the following machine:

AMD T-Bird 1,4 Ghz
DFI AK75-EC (KT133A)
1x 512MB SDRAM
350W PSU
Terratec Base 2 Soundcard
Realtek NIC
...

I have got the exact same problem in my machine though:

XP 2500+
Asus NF7-S 2.0
2x 256MB Twinmos/WB CH-5tt
360W PSU
SB Audigy
...

I didn't try the AGP aperature size on my computer though because I only thought of testing it when it was in the other machine. I expect it would react the same though and work ok at 8MB.

I just tried it with 4MB and that worked ok also. If I go to 32 MB Windows loads up ok but when I start 3D Mark 2001se I just get a blank screen upon starting the benchmark.

I tried an BIOS for that card that unlocks it just to see if it would make a differnce... it didn't. It does the same thing as with the BIOS that was on it.

might be a messed up card, did you contact the maker of the card and ask them ?

Anyone know how their european support is?

Could someone please email me the original bios of the Hercules 9500 pro with 3.0ns RAM and blue PCB ?
