9800 pro and monitor resetting to default

There was a thread in here about an ATI card and xp pro, and every so often the monitor resets back to default monitor, but I cant seem to find it. :/

Anyhow thats my problems, nothing installed except omegas 3.9s and a 9800 pro and win xp. Now and again after a restart the screen will be at 60hz, and when I check the adapter settings its reset the monitor back to default instead of my Mits Diamond plus. Takes 30 seconds to change it back under the control panel, then I need to set the adapter to 60hz then back to 85hz to get things back to normal.

Any clues on how to fix this?

just a guess but do u have monitor drivers (for your paticular monitor) loaded. I always forget to load monitor drivers after new vid driver load. will ur monitor support 85hz, some lcds want. have a nice day.
