Ati Radeon Mobility-P freezes

Hi everybody,

I've just got a laptop from a friend who bought a new one. But I've got a really big problem. I formatted and installed Windows Xp Pro. Everything worked but the graphic drivers weren't installed, windows didn't recognized my card. I tried to install Ati driver's, but when I rebooted the computer freezed randomly while starting windows. I got to start in VGA mode to get it work. I also tried the Omega driver but the installer said it couldn't find the Inf's

. I installed it manually but obtained the same result : the computer freezes when it has graphics (like menus) to render. The only way I have to get it to work is to uninstall all graphic drivers but the graphics sucks (1024*768 32 bits but with no acceleration)...
Any issues?
