How long before..?

Ok, Everybody will agree that the R300 has the spotlight for being king. But for how long? According to that review of the chip I read from the frontpage of DH, it said NV30 comes out in November. The question is..how long will the R300 get the spotlight? The NV30 will be beating the R300...or will it? Most likely it will. So what will keep ppl from waiting til November to buy an NV30...and it's just before the X-mas season too!
