9800Pro Prob's

Hey everyone Im pretty new to all this, I just installed a 9800pro card with the drivers it came with. For some reason the device will not show up in my device manager, its shows up on the bottom as unknown. I have uninstalled the drivers and then cleaned with driver cleaner 2 and reinstalled several times now. When I go into display settings it show my dell monitor with radeon 9800pro but not in the device manager. someone told me if its not in device manager its not installed correctly, but as I said before it shows up at the bottom as unknown and when you click the plus sign it show radeon9800pro and underneath it shows radeon9800pro secondary. Any help would be appreciated. OS is XP Also it is a Asus P4t-e motherboard with intel 850 chipset.
