I still like CRT's better and they are cheaper
BUT best thing you can do IMM, is visit some shops and look at those TFT & CRT monitors and their prices, then decide which you like best..noone can look through your eyes

Also I think you should consider do you game much? If so a CRT is still much better than a LCD to me. If you dont then go for the LCD.

I have a hitachi 17" LCD. $400, great monitor. 16 milisecond refresh rate, so there is NO "ghosting", or other lag problems usually associated with LCD's. I think that LCDs have finally caught up with CRT's. THe colors on this monitor are bright and vivid, and its so nice to have a desk again;-). Buy it at newegg for $405: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...=BROWSE&depa=1 Read the reviews from Tomshardware and Anandtech too..they all agree that this IS the LCD monitor for gamers. Brian

A LCD monitor will never have burn in problems. I do not have ghosting with a 16ms response time and as the technology stands today would never change back to CRT
