Does anyone know if there is a newer bios out for this card i am getiing horizontal lines in my display dosen't atter if i am surfing the web or playing games. I updated all drivers everything new monitor gateway vx930 i have tried all refresh rates still the same thing. It's really starting to bug the hell out of me i did the ati problem report and will attach it. If anyone has a clue to help me out it will be greatly appreciated thank you...

I noticed that in you problem repport it says that your card i PCI. Matbe your BIOS is not set correct.

Try to adjust your bios setings.

What type of card is it you have, I have a Power Color 9700 AIW, If you wnat I can mail you my BIOS

mine is just a regular ati all in wonder 9700 built by ati.. does my video bios look old? should i have it set to agp instead of pci in bios i dont do much with the mobo settings since i dont know what it will do ?

or are you saying it is a pci based card not an agp based card? if so that could be the problem cause i have it plugged in my mobo in the agp slot? I am confused and fustrated.....

The report shows it's running in agp mode ..I wouldn't change the setting in the bios it will do nothing for your problem.Do you have the drivers for your monitor loaded? What does it say in your ati control panel under Monitor and Display tabs ? If it's plug'n'play or default it may be the problem.

I have the gateway monitor drivers loaded that go with my monitor i have also tryed the default plug and play driver and it made no difference. I just changed the ati drivers to the new omegas it helped a little bit but not much still see the horizontal lines I think after all that i have done fresh install updated all drivers except bios because there is no updates for that i think i am narrowing it down to a faulty card...Could that possibly be the problem or should i try flashing the video card bios and what one should i use if so?
