just as the thread says...can i capture/record video via S-video cable from my camcorder on my Saphire 9800Pro?? Cuz i run the capture proggies and i cant get the damn thing to capture...it either says no capture driver installed or no device found...but on the opposite site i can view or record to my camcorder from the pc!! Wtf? Any help guys? Thnx.

The S-vidio connector on a 9800pro is capable of out putting vidio only,
so the answer is no it can not be used to capture video. |

You would have to get a capture card to actually record down into the computer.One if you don't want to spend the money, but want a fairly good one is the ATI TV Wonder,Lil more pricey one I would say is the Hauppauge.

My dad has a sweet Sony Camcorder - it has a firewire port on it, I just plug it in that port and into the firewire port on the back of my mobo, open any video editing software and its fired up
