forcing tv resolution when it is "clone"

Hello, I am using my TV set to "clone". I am using 1152x864 on my monitor, and this forces the tv to 1024x768 in clone mode, since it is the highest the tv can display. I am wondering if there is a way to force the TV to be a different resolution in clone mode (without changing the resolution displayed on my monitor), such as 800x600 because words are too hard to read at 1024x768.

Radeon 8500 using latest and greatest Omega drivers.
Any help is appreciated.
