Gaming wise no i don't think its worth it. 8x agp is barely worth it(and I mean barely). I also think the PCIE X800XT will be clocked a little slower but I could be wrong.
Read through this for a better idea

so the pci version will be slower a little bit? or it's the same or little big over? as long as it's not slower, im going to get PCi express because that's the next generation of hardware. Are u saying i should get agp 8x instead of waitingn for pci express? i dont think that's a good idea because pci express is the next generation of hardware so why wouuld I spend money on something when ther's some other things newer coming out soon?

Because unless you're going to be playing some high end games, PCI-E and even 8x AGP isn't worth spending $1,000+ for having "the new stuff" if all you're doing is writing your papers, going online, checking your email, and watching DVDs, then stick w/something low end (under $100) for a video card and spend the extra cash on something else.

I play games, not just checking emails and reading stuff.
