Omega 2.5.51 and DX9

Just installed omega drivers as reccomended in readme with no errors and went to test halo and got this error "A problem occured inisilising directdraw, Hardware accelaration maybe disabled, please run dxdiag" . Hardware accelaration is on full and on further investagation in dxdiag got this, "direct3d funcinality not available. you sould verify that the driver is the final version from your hardware manerfacturer". Tried reinstalling DX9 to no avail.

Graphics card: Sapphire ati radeon 9600xt 256mb
Operating System: Windows XP Professional Service Pack 1
System Manufacturer: SiS
System Model: 730S
BIOS: Version 1.00
Processor: AMD Duron(tm) Processor, MMX, 3DNow, ~1.4GHz
Memory: 256MB RAM
Page File: 157MB used, 460MB available
Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS
DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0b (4.09.0000.0902)
DX Setup Parameters: Not found

Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

try reinstalling direct X again, update/reinstall chipset drivers for your motherboard(SiS), run driver cleaner and then reinstall the omega drivers.....if that doesnt work, run driver cleaner again and install the stock catalyst 4.6's.....if that still doesn't work come back and let em know and we'll think of somethign else

tried it and still getting the same problem with the ati catalyst 4.6, my motherboard agp slot is rated at 4x and i used the utility which came with the gart drivers to set it to 4x, but the catalst drivers still reconise it as 2x. there is no settings relarted to this in the bios. could this be part of the problem?

don't think so...but AGP settings SHOULD be in your BIOS...need to look into that for sure

I dont think its a driver related problem, and the Mobos with sis chipset dont have Agp rate in the bios, i think the problem is PSU related, what Power Suply do you have?

Possible solutions:

Fresh install of windows
Install latest sis agp drivers
Update bios
Install DX9.0b
Install Cats 4.6

I still think its a PS issue. I used to get the same problem with my 9700pro, with my older mobo sis648, a bios update, latest agp drivers and a bether PSU solved the problem for me.
