I have a radeon 9100 by sapphire, and it comes with the smallest fan ive ever seen, but it makes the most noise in my case. Is it ok to disable it, cuz i really dont think it does very much since its so small. Or will this card not survive without the fan? I dont plan on doing any overclocking anyways. Some of the other cards like the 9550, and i believe the 9600 SE from sapphire dont even come with fans.

try usign a larger heatsink if you can, otherwise run you computer for about half an hour without the fan on, then feel the back of the card directly behinf the vpu chip, if it is extremely hot turn the fan back on
