EEK! 9800 pro. Monitor goes into standby on reboot?

G'day folks

I'm using the latest omega's (I had the same problem with the 4.9 cats too)

But everytime I reboot my computer.... the monitor goes into standby and my computer doesn't post? I have a 9800 pro.

To fix this issue....

1) I usually unplug the power
2) turn off the monitor
3) wait until the residual power in my computer dies...
4) turn the monitor back on
5) plug in the power cable
6) turn the computer back on

I'm just wondering if this affects anyone else? Is this a GART issue? Or an issue with radeons in general? Does anyone have any ideas they'd like to contribute please?

I leave VPU Recover on so my Call of Duty doesn't crash every ten minutes...

I don't see how the monitor would make the mobo not POST.

Yes exactly the same problem, but I've been unable to get mine to boot at all! No image on the screen and the system won't boot when the 9800 is fitted. Works fine with my fx5200. See post "Urgent help needed for 9800pro@xt" thread.
