Radeon 9000 Mobility

I just wanted to post this for all those people that have Mobility 9000 cards, I just obtained the 4.6 Catalyst drivers from ATI, and used the newest DHM mod-tool and they seem to work so far. I have not 100% seen it on DX9 games, but so far it seems to work great. Will post results on Doom 3, Everquest, and Far Cry a little later!

You can get a brand new driver for this card from Dell; on an Everquest II forum i read that someone had no problem with the game with the new drivers.

Has anyone reading this tried that? Can anyone confirm this?

Dell hasn't updated this driver since 2003, I know because i check almost every week. If you are playing new games, why not download the 4.12 beta and use the modded for mobility files from patje here is the link to the thread. http://www.hardwareheaven.com/hardwareheaven-tools-discussion/61156-modded-catalyst-files-mobility-users.html. I have been using them since the day they came out and they work great for Far Cry, Doom 3 and esspecially Half Life 2. I hope this helps.

ps. patje's new Dh mod tool should be coming out in a while, that way you can use all the new cat drivers. until then, he is modding them and posting them here at DH. By the way, welcome!

we are using both the m6 chip of radeon and the radeon 9000. with the new drivers with no problems the 9000 does not work well unless you have atleast 64 mb on it. Other than that most other games run flawlessly.
