Getting VPU issues with Saphire X600 XT PCIe

Hello

I built a new system for a friend and I am having issues with what I think is the GFX card .

The main specs are

128MB Sapphire RX600XT PCIe ViVo Lite
CPU Intel P4 S775 BOX 3000 MHZ Prescott
HDD SATA 120GB Maxtor 6Y120M0 8MB
DVDR IDE NEC ND-2510A Dual
DDR PC400 1024MB TwinMOS Twister Dualkit
Enermax Coolergiant 430W
ATX S775 Abit AG8 Third Eye PCIe

Windows XP Home SP1
DX 9c
CAT's 4.11 / 4.9

Whats happening is intermittant but basically he can play his games etc , browse the internet and all of a sudden it comes up with an error saying that the Video Accelerator is not responding to the driver etc and it reverts to software mode . This can happen both ingame or general usage .

I have tried reinstallng the Catalyst 4.11 and also today we tried the 4.9's but it happened again .

Anyone any experience on this ? If we disable the VPU recover option, and the gfx crash occurs, his screen goes nuts and he has to reboot .

Lastly , with the 4.11 he had the overdrive tab, but with the 4.9's he doesnt . I thought the 4.9's supported the XT series ?
