Well, after a quick "in passin" lunchtime trip to my local, hardware vendor I've now got a new Sapphire X800Xt to replace the one which met an untimely end at my hands. (Not I might add an RMA replacement).
However, when did they start producing these on a BLUE PCB? I thought the red PCB was kind of trademark for ATI based cards.<Now where's that soldering iron?> |

it's a Sapphire.. they're trying to "stand out from the crowd" with their blue cards.

Sapphire has made other blue cards before.
If you want variety, you should look at nvidias. there is a rainbow of different colors there.

May I ask what happened to your old x800xt? And where did you find the sapphire card, how much. I am looking to buy either the sapphire or visiontek but am having trouble finding them.

and they are few and far between at the moment this was the last one (again). I just get lucky I guess. If you're in the UK try Ctech2000 or tekheads, they seem to get deliveries every two weeks or so. |
