dual montior setup

gues what installed my X800XT today yeyayya i will break it in then overclock it. i am wondering how do i select dual montiors with ati that one thing i want to know

It said in a read me file that you owned two CRTS ? ermm. or do you mean it said in the read me that your card can support dual monitor? all modern ATI cards can support dual monitor if of course you actually own them and have them plugged into the GFX board.

To select dual desktop spanning, display properties/settings/

click on monitor 2 then click "extend my windows desktop onto this monitor", you can then adjust the positioning of the monitor relative to the first one. In CCC or ATIs control panel you can also adjust the rotation of the monitor if you wished for example to use monitor 2 as a portrait style.

Hydravision is ATIs software for controlling various options but personally I prefer ultramonitor2 from realtimesoft http://www.realtimesoft.com/, its more versatile, runs better and is basically a much superior package as its offers dual task bar independent to each screen and other goodies.

UlraMon is an awesome program.. it allows separate wallpapers.. separate Screen savers.. and even supports different vid cards driving other monitors like I have 9800 Pro + Voodoo 3
