9500Pro vs 5500FX

which is better?
My cousin got a 5500 (for cheap) and was wondering if it was better than his 9500pro

System Specs

No way

Um a 9500 pro is 8 pixel pipes (8x1 Texture Unit for each pipe) 4 vertex shaders and 275 mhz core / 540 mhz 128 bit memorymost can be over clocked to 9700 pro speeds or greater

the nvidia 5500FX 4 pixel pipes (4x1 Texture Unit for each pipe) 1 vertex shader and 270 mhz core / 400 mhz 128 bit

9500 pro is way faster and better.......

Im somewhat sure the 9500 Pro is a better card.. my friend had one for a short while and then got a 9600XT and that whooped it.. although it still wasnt as great as it could have been... his motherboard was so bad at the time.

I had both a 9600xt and a 9500 pro...
the 9500 pro was faster in benchmarks
but much faster in games that are shader
intesive like ut2004 the 9500 pro again much faster

9500 Pro > 5500 by a mile and a half.

The 9500 Pro should be better than the 9600XT in most cases.

System Specs

The 5500 is really a low budget card, near the 5200 performance wise. 9500pro wipes the floor with it.
