Try running driver cleaner in SAFE MODE, this may remove some conflicting drivers you had installed before, uninstall your current ATI drivers as well, then reboot in normal mode, and reinstall the drivers. If the arctic fan is on your GFX card, make sure it is screwed firmly onto the card, and there is not to little, or too much heat paste on your GPU (just a little blob to spread & cover the die's surface).

You would need a new mobo most probably... But before you think of this expensive upgrade, try to format ur PC or test the card in another PC to see what is really happening...

System Specs

Yes, I really think his system is fine for PES4 (Pro Evolution Soccer 4?) - his system exceeds even the recommended (well above minimum) hardware requirements.

loates123 - I believe you need to do a clean install of your video driver after cleaning out references to your old card. Check your new video driver installation by running a demo or full game locally (not online...) on your machine. If all is well locally, then take at look at connectivity issues that may affect online gameplay if you still see problems when you're playing online.

That should be adaquate... Try your vid card in a whole other computer (the 9800pro) an d see if the bug still shows up... If not, then your PC has a bug which we'll figure out.. If the same prob in the other PC, it's possible ur card is a defect.

2000ish? I got a 9800 pro and that's low for your system. You should get almost 400 more points! Seems there is a prob in ur system...

I would try using the card on a friend's computer and see if the peformance is that bad, if it is, then you got a bad card but I doubt that's the case. I would upgrade the cpu.

Unless you want to get another Athlon XP, you would have to buy a new motherboard. It also depends if your motherboard supports higher end athlon xp's. For your motherboard, it's extremely old. It only supports agp 4x, doesn't support ddr 400, and doesn't support athlon xp's higher than the xp 2000+. So you would have to buy another cpu and motherboard. I would buy the parts at www.newegg.com. I don't think you can explain putting the computer together on the forums, it would take too damn long.
