ATI Radeon 9000 out of date

Hey,
I just got Star Wars Republic Commandos and I'm having a problem with single player mode. I called Lucasarts and a guy said my driver version 6.14.0010.6343 was out of date for this particular game. I called Gateway and they gave me a download for a new ATI driver, but it's still no good. I wanna get this game started and funny enough, I can play in multiplayer mode, but not single player. Please, someone help me.
