Doom 3: RoE + Omega drivers

I cleaned off my old Catalyst 5.4 drivers and installed the Omega 5.2 drivers.

I noticed two things.

1. After playing for a bit I got blue pixel artifacts when looking at walls, etc through translucent windows within Doom 3: RoE.

2. I'm not sure if it's just my imagination but the image quality of Doom 3 looks a lot darker and worse overall compared to the standard 5.4 drivers.

As anyone else noticed these two things? Thanks.

I have a Radeon 9700 Pro 128 MB (running at default clock speeds)
The Omega drivers are set using their default settings.
I'm running D3:RoE at medium quality settings @ 1600x1200
