After a 9 month departure /w Nvidia I'm now back /w ATI.

X800XL
DFI nforce 4 Ultra
A64 3700 San Diego
Artic Cooling 64 Freezer

All installed in the past two days, and she flies!!

Got a decent price on the XL and my previous card was an 6800 Ultra. Plus felt it was time to go PCI-E.

I traded the Ultra to my friend who gave me $100 plus his GT. I then sold the it /w my old motherboard, and processor.

have you started overclocking it yet?
i built my rig last week and my plan was to run it in at stock speeds for a week, i lasted 5 mins before i started ocing the crap out of it

Wish I had enough money to trade up from a 6800 Ultra to an X800XL, or from AGP to PCI-E for that matter

Hey when Crossfire rolls out- get an X800XL master card and a mobo and you will be set for a quite while

Might be safer to wait until they drop the word on them supporting dual core...with that kid of greaphics power you'd need to leverage it with something powerful...hopefully by then the dual cores are also clocked the same as single core CPU's.

Imagine running 2 games, 1 on a CPU and GPU and 1 on the other CPU and GPU

One machine could power 2 people! (or one really greedy user

Yes it can, through terminal services. Its just getting mobo support for 2 input devices. I saw a motherboard that did this. So long as you use XP and have 2 licenses then it worked.

Seems like a USB mouse and keyboard might work.. seems like it would be a pain to set up.
