Working on a Database. POST YOUR SPECS & OVERCLOCKS !

Hey guys,
I'm working on a Video Card overclocking How-to article and am building a small database of known cores/cards and how well they generally overclock so please, post your information. If you're not sure how to find out what core you have, you can download ATITool and head into "Preferences". Your core type will be listed under.

Please Note: This is for ATI Video Cards only.

  • Video Card
  • Core Type
  • Base Core speed (in mhz)
  • Base memory speed (in mhz)
  • Maximum Core Overclock (in mhz)
  • Maximum Memory Overclock (in mhz)
  • Cooling Type
Please provide your replies in the following format.
If you're still not too sure, see below for my reply.
  • Brand Series Card Memory
  • Core: RXXX
  • Base Core: XXX.XX
  • Base Memory: XXX.XX
  • Maximum Core: XXX.XX
  • Maximum Memory: XXX.XX
  • Cooling: Water, Stock, Brand name HSF, Artic Silver, etc.
If you have any questions, please send me a PM and try to keep the chatter to a minimal level on this thread. I appreciate your help and I'll let you know when the page is up!

H3X4D3C1M4L will become famous soon enoughH3X4D3C1M4L will become famous soon enough

AIW 9800 Pro
R350 core
Stock speeds (core/mem): 378.00/337.50
Max core/memory: 420/400 (samsung ram)
Stock voltage
Memory timings stock (Though this ram has unusually low timings at default)
Cooling: Vantec Iceberq Cu on the chip (probably limits me), OCZ copper ramsinks, AS5 thermal paste

Bet if I got me a Zalman cooler I'd go higher....

I don't have the room for it, I've got more PCI cards and USB brackets than I can handle and besides it wouldn't do me any better, I've got plenty of airflow anyway.

For a 9600 XT thats a poor OC even for stock...except on the memory.

Does anyone have a Radeon 7500 theyve tried to OC? I want to know how far one of those will go

I agree there. I had my side panel off so my intake fans on the side weren't getting any fresh air to it. I probably could have gone higher, but I began to see specks on the heat up operation on ATITool. I'm going to try it again as soon as it gets below 90 degrees in my part of the country.

Maybe replacing the heatsink would do it. Had that happen to a friend with the exact same card.
