Crossfire 14X AA. could it be 28X AA?
Hey so I'm reading about this 14x AA business with crossfire(Which is really 12x FSAA and 2x supersampling...but whatever)
and it occured to me...could it do Temporal AA? THERE COULD BE 28x AA?! It has been the one and only thing on my mind since this new AA mode was mentioned with crossfire and I'm really psyched to know. I'm also wondering if it would be noticable to the human eye, but thats another story entirely.

That would look pretty damn good with perfect smoothness everywhere, don't know though. The 14AA is already cool enough.

It wouldnt be seen by anyones eye....to be truthful once you hit TAA 6x you can't see any jaggies.
The higher the resolution the less jagged it is, so maybe use that power to run at 2048x1536 with 2x AA and you'd see no jaggies |

Oh yeah and with Omega drivers you can get the level 3 of TAA which makes 2x look like 6x. its pretty sweet(unless your framerate drops. then it shimmers like nobodies business)

yah but thats the point of keeping framerate up. Then you wont GET the shimmering.

that bs with the higher the res the less aa u need, cuz even at 1600x1200 i can still see jaggies like there no tommow, and no i dont be looking for them. so i use aa4x at 1600x1200 cuz of that.

Well of course you're going to see them at any resolution but you cant possibly say 800x600 with 4x AA looks smoother than just 1600x1200

How useful will that level of aa really be anyway? If someone has the crossfire setup, it's guaranteed that they'll be using a high resolution level. At 16x12 for instance, almost all jaggies are removed at 4x aa, and nonexistent at 6x...
