??? Mobility Radeon 9600 Pro Driver Installation Issues, HELP!

I've been trying to install Catalyst Control Center, but every time I try to do so the same lame ass message appears. I think it's got trouble when attempting to update my driver, and since I'm a n00b beyond imagination when it comes to graphic card troubleshooting, I thought you guys might be able to help.

The error message goes like this:

INF error
Video driver not found

And shortly thereafter:

Setup was unable to complete the installation. Try to setup your display adapter
with a standard VGA driver before running setup.

Now, I've already installed the basic Control Panel that came along with my rig, and I've tried to uninstall it, before running setup. Didn't help.

In other words: HELP!

PS: Since this is a laptop, I've got a MOBILITY M10 RADEON 9600 PRO. Is that different from the ordinary Radeon 9600 Pro?

Yes it's different and desktop drivers down't work on laptops with out modification.

You could try the mobilty modder

Or modded sets like

Yes it does, you still need to mod the drivers with Mobility Modder

You are correct. 5.6 offer some mobility functionality as well (x700 and x800 only for now)
